Your Show is dedicated to bringing the magic of Broadway musicals to life, My Son Pinocchio: Geppetto’s Musical Tale, is set to masterfully retell the classic tale from the eyes of Geppetto.

Featuring nostalgic songs such as “When You Wish Upon A Star” and “I’ve Got No Strings”, complemented by a collection of new music by Grammy and Academy Award winning composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz, the reimagined story of Pinocchio delves into Geppetto’s desire to uncover the true meaning of family!

Join us as we follow the adventures of Pinocchio, a wooden puppet brought to life by the Blue Fairy, who is tasked with guiding him on his path to becoming a real boy. This touching narrative delves into themes of love, parenthood, and self-discovery, offering a fresh perspective on the classic tale.

Starring Rachael Beck

Rachael Beck is a multi-faceted, award winning powerhouse whose talents span both stage and screen as an acclaimed vocal artist and actress. Starring as Blue Fairy, her performance brings magic to the stage!

Rachael’s theatrical highlights include Truly Scrumptious in the national tour of Chi$y Chi$y Bang Bang; Sally Bowles in IMG’s Cabaret, directed by Sam Mendes; Kathy Selden in Singin’ in the Rain directed by David Atkins, (which earned her a Mo Award nomination) and Maria in The Gordon/Frost Organization/SEL production of The Sound of Music.

More recently, Rachael starred alongside Todd McKenney as Charity Barnum in Barnum, The Circus Musical. She is widely remembered for her role as Belle opposite Hugh Jackman in Beauty and the Beast. Further highlights include her Green Room Award nominated performance as Fantine in Les Miserables and Rumpleteaser in Cats, both produced by Cameron Mackintosh.

Kelly Aykers – Director

After 50 years of training and performance, during which time she has also directed, choreographed, Kelly is delighted that the natural progression of her career is now giving her the opportunity to pass her knowledge on to others within the dance industry.

After an early career highlight of working alongside Ann Reinking as her dance captain on the Australian production of Chicago and, as a devout disciple of Bob Fosse, Kelly took on her first role of director in 2016. It was a natural progression and, along with Musical Theatre maestro, Stephen Gray and a live on-stage band, she brought Pippin to the stage. A year later, the pair teamed up again to present super musical, Chicago to excellent reviews. Additional director credits soon followed including, Little Shop of Horrors, The Pajama Game, Bring It On and, later this year, Kelly will assume the role of director and choreographer in Disney’s My Son Pinocchio.

In addition to her upcoming work on Disney’s My Son Pinocchio (Yourshow), Kelly’s previous credits have gained her a reputation as one of Australia’s pre-eminent musical choreographers.
